Trip - Plans

TL;DR

Your trip is a list of plans, ordered by day and time. Filter, group, and customize the view to manage your itinerary effectively. Click a day for map highlight, or a row for details.

The plans have different levels of information (see Trip - Plan creation).

The plans panel support various interactions; actions bar at the top, clicking a day or a plan.

tip

The plans panel can be resized by sliding your mouse on its right edge

Actions bar

  • Bulk actions, to edit, duplicate or delete multiple plans
  • Filter plans and select columns to show (defaults pre-selected)
  • Highlight the complete itinerary on the map
  • Export the trip plans in a tailored print, a calendar file (.ical) or a CSV file

tip

For accommodations and transport, I recommend using a double-entry approach, similar to accounting:

  • Create one plan for the start (e.g., 00:01)
  • Create another plan for the end (e.g., 23:59)

This helps you:

  • Differentiate 'From' and 'To' locations easily
  • Track nights at accommodations accurately
  • Show continuous presence at a location across days using coordinates
